Manufacture of metal structures
Complete preparation of elements
Production of metal structures with the highest degree of control.
For the production of aluminum sections, the TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding process is utilized. During the outfitting of a vessel, pipes are joined using gas welding techniques. All welding procedures are conducted in accordance with the technology developed by our design office, under the supervision of a welding technologist. Welding procedures, filler materials, and the welders themselves are certified by internationally recognized classification societies, such as Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and Bureau Veritas.
Transport with Dollies (Buckingham Structural Moving Equipment/Dollies): Buckingham dollies, used for transporting vessels or vessel sections, are modular in design. Each dolly is equipped with cylinders that allow for height adjustment, and their independent movement enables maneuverability in confined spaces as well as leveling the vessel.
The carrying capacity of each dolly is 45 tons, allowing for a total transportable load of up to 450 tons. One of the advantages of this system is that it can handle uneven terrain; a height difference of approximately 400 mm can be accommodated.
Induction Straightening Machine
During the welding and mechanical processing of steel sheets, stress and deformation can occur. Traditional heating methods for straightening often lead to surface damage and changes in the steel’s structure. Our shipyard utilizes the latest induction heating technology. The Teknel double induction heater enables localized heating, which more effectively relieves material stress and corrects deformation. In addition to shipbuilding, this machine is also applicable in various industrial sectors and for machine maintenance.
Metal Construction Production
Besides shipbuilding and comprehensive vessel care, our service portfolio includes the production of metal structures, specifically columns and roof beams for a variety of applications. We initiate the process with complete preparation of the elements, including the design of the metal structures and precise cutting according to a defined plan. This process also encompasses pre-assembly and assembly on positioners, along with the machining of individual structural parts, sandblasting, and painting. You can trust in our quality, as we conduct a thorough inspection of all elements and welded joints.
